Went out on a 12 hour offshore charter with an exciting crew today on the Necessity. The weather was pretty; bad rough seas and lots of rain. We managed to catch our limit of red snapper, along with two nice wahoos, and a handful of scamp, vermillion, and white snapper.
Flat calm, fish biting! Picture perfect day!! The McCarty family had a great time aboard the Charterboat Necessity. They caught a wide variety of fish during their offshore charter – including Red snapper, King Mackeral, Red Grouper, Red Porgie, Vermillion snapper and a 150 pound shark!!! Good fishing in Orange Beach this week!
Had a great Memorial Day weekend on the charter boat Necessity. The crew headed out to deep water and got into some big blackfin tuna. We caught a nice Wahoo while doing some high speed trolling, and landed a nice Make shark as well. Several bottom stops resulted in a variety of yellow edge grouper, long tail bass, golden tile fish, amberjack, and scamp in the 8-17 lb range.
The Necessity was out last week and the group got into a bunch of nice Amberjacks. Along the way we picked up some snapper, grouper, and spanish as well. The photos speak for themselves (click thumbnails for larger images):
