Went out on a 12 hour offshore charter with an exciting crew today on the Necessity. The weather was pretty; bad rough seas and lots of rain. We managed to catch our limit of red snapper, along with two nice wahoos, and a handful of scamp, vermillion, and white snapper.
Headed out with a great group of guys Thursday night. We got to the rigs and started fishing till sun up. Caught a couple of nice blackfin tuna and one yellowfin. After tuna fishing we went bottom fishing and caught an amazing limit of red snapper along with a good bunch of yellow edge grouper, snowy grouper, scamp, white snapper and vermillion snapper. When trolling a blue water rip in the afternoon, we brought in 5 wahoo one being and absolute stud at 92 lbs, along with a 2 dolphin and a big king mackerel.
March 23rd Report: 18 hour charter, fished the marlin rig. handful of black fin tuna no yellowfin. Went bottom fishing caught a handful of pretty amberjack a good bunch of nice scamp and vermillion snapper.
